It's worth the risk when buying a used new Rebel series.

Recent Canon updates for Rebels (xti series and higher) are very disappointing. Incredibly you can pick up a good used 20d for $150. The optional LCD screen is an essential aid to quickly adjust EV values, among other things. .Something the new Rebel series doesn't offer. The old XT was much better in many ways. Squeezing more pixels onto an APS-C sensor isn't my upgrade idea, it's a marketing ploy. Anyway, I'm very happy with my 20d, 5 fps for action shots, an optional LCD screen, and all much

First DSLR I bought

Before I start I want to say that I have used much better cameras than the 20D. I work as a reporter and we are fortunate to have cameras like the 5D Mark II with the right lenses in our camera pool. I was torn between buying this model and switching to a rebellious model, maybe the XSi. I'm glad I chose this model as features like the top display bezel are features I've come to expect from my cameras. Despite having fewer megapixels (8.2 versus 10.1) and the same maximum ISO (1600), the 20Dโ€ฆ

Affordable way to learn how to shoot with Canon DSLRs

The Canon 20D was launched in 2004 with a DxO rating of 62. Unbelievably, the 2013 18-megapixel Canon Rebel T5i scored only 61, and this camera is still being sold as a new camera in 2017. The 20D had pretty much every modern DSLR feature that current models have. There's a full control mode, customizable image quality options, a variety of dials and buttons to set aperture, ISO, shutter speed, program shift and exposure values. There's a useful built-in flash. To learn the art of basic DSLRโ€ฆ

Nice upgrade with Digital Rebel

I bought the 20D as an upgrade for my Digital Rebel. The costs were definitely worth it. This camera has many, many advantages over the Rebel (as other reviewers will point out), but I thought three of them deserve mention: ISO 1600 and 3200 have very, very low noise levels. This means I can now shoot in low light, which I've never done before. For example, I often photograph crowded streets at night. I used to have to use a flash or my shots would be blurry due to camera shake and peopleโ€ฆ

The look and feel of a camera designed for a male hand.

The seller found the original packaging at his facility so everything that was supplied by Canon was included in the camera body. The manuals were printed in Spanish and since I don't read, speak or understand most of them they were of little value to me. English versions of the manuals were available online to download for printing, which I did and it helped understand the camera. I think I've had the camera for about a month now and I'm reading my impressions below. Perfect for larger handsโ€ฆ
