The features are great, the navigation not so great.

Most of the functions are great, the display is great, everything is fine except the main body, down to the suction cup. Garmin navigation is terrible. Even if you use the shortest path, you usually get a longer path. In truck mode, even if the vehicle size is entered, you will see many dead ends, non-existent roads, etc. etc. Google Maps is much better and no separate device purchase is required. This may only be the case in Maine and New Hampshire, so I don't know how it is in other states.

Can't even get the car's basic routing right.

In auto route mode, he told me to turn right and back around instead of turning left on a road that has been around for more than ten years. Also, he couldn't direct me to the DMV address without correcting the dot on the map, otherwise he would have said I arrived on a freeway with nothing on either side. If it can't even get the auto-routing right, I worry about its routing ability. The application on the phone crashed several times. Storing addresses is generally terrible. It's barely…

Disappointed with the car electronics

What I don't like about this Garmin. Disappointed with the class A.1 navigation. Shows no assigned class truck routes.2. Does not show the height of the bridge. These two items are all I need in GPS for commercial vehicles. All additional fluff and information can be found on my google maps. Garmin's ratings were quite high compared to the competition, which leads me to believe that the information and technology is not available from any GPS manufacturer. Whoever develops a product with this…

Great tool for truckers

This is a great tool for truckers. This saved me a 2 hour delay in Idaho near Blackfoot due to construction. He gave me a route around it. Connected to your phone via Bluetooth, it warns you about roadworks, objects on the road and accidents reported to it, among other things. Montana speed limits are wrong. Showing 70 mph for back roads and 65 mph for freeways, he's reversed that, also the state line is about 4 miles south of line 15. He needs some map updates for Montana. It shows you the…

Inaccurate and too expensive

I would like Google Maps to create its own version for commercial vehicles. The only way to use Garmin GPS was along with Google Maps running on my phone. This product is not very accurate and does not detect new roads or new buildings. New camps are popping up everywhere these days, and according to Garmin, there's nothing there. (This is where Google Maps comes to the rescue). In Phoenix, Arizona, a new southbound section of Loop 202 has been open since December, but it doesn't exist for…
