Heavy weight, well made.

Very heavy weight. When using them, be careful not to let children pull on the stockings or pull them over them or they will chafe! I would suggest using 3M glue to attach them to the mantel. Very heavy, well made and beautiful but!

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • No machine

I like that they are cast iron

I've been watching them for years. I like that they are cast iron, they can sit on my robe and they can be secured to avoid unnecessary tipping. Unfortunately the quality is not very good. Pieces of pine cones were loose and two were broken when they arrived. They were poorly packaged for shipping which no doubt contributed to the damage. I plan to use them anyway, but unfortunately I was disappointed.

Heavy strong attractive cast iron garters

Nice and heavy - keep your Christmas stocking full of treats and surprises! We're stocking up on our hand-embroidered stockings, and they're always overflowing with cheap Target suspenders. They easily wear a good heavy stocking. What a relief to put on a stocking and know it's still hanging on Christmas morning. Also appreciate the timeless design. Not sweet or cute, but definitely Christmassy pinecones. Love the colour, brown polished cast iron, perfect for us!

Pros
  • Great value for money
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Heavy Duty: Garter

I have 3 of these garter belts and have used them for years. Fortunately, this year there was more in our family. She spent Christmas with us so I needed a stocking (and a new garter belt) for her. When I saw this online, I was blown away. It looks more like dark rust than black, but it's beautiful and I'm probably the only person who will ever notice that it's not a "perfect match". They are designed for heavy use, so heavier objects can be put into the stockings. I like that they are…

Pulled down and broken on Christmas morning

They are beautiful and quite heavy and they held the stockings well after Santa darned them. But in the morning my daughter didn't quite come off the hook and everything collapsed, leaving a noticeable dent in my hardwood floor. The hook also broke in the fall, which makes me wonder if it's really cast iron. (The pinecone part is definitely there.) There's a hole in the back edge that's just the right size for a screw to attach to the mantel, and that's probably what the manufacturer intended…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • I dunno

Decent quality; looks good

I found the image to be representative of the actual product I received. I bought two of these. Both were of the same quality and finish. This indicates that there is likely to be good consistency in manufacturing and finishing. The pinecones themselves are made up of multiple layers held together by a single screw that goes into the bottom of the base. I found that the screws on both pine cones I bought were loose, but were easy to tighten with a flat head screwdriver. The two pine cones I…

Pros
  • Not only useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Has flaws
