Same size as Altoid lenses and great quality!

Very good quality metal cans, exactly the same size as the Altoid cans but smooth on all sides. I use them to pack Band-Aids in our first aid kit and to keep Q-Tips clean and dry when traveling. I love these banks!

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Some bugs

Great Little Jars: Craft & Sewing Storage

If you want something like an Altoids jar for storing odds and ends for any reason that easily fits in your pocket, get this one. They are good on their own but can be decorated/marked/tagged as needed. They close securely enough. I had them in the pockets of backpacks about the size of a can, so they stayed closed. However, if you use them for general purposes and move around, it might make sense to protect them in some way.

Pros
  • Crossing my thumbs
Cons
  • Might damage

Great boxes for storing small items

These are well made little boxes. They're durable, close securely, and are made of tinplate thick enough to feel like they'll last for years of uninterrupted use. I'll probably order more now that I've put a few things in. I use a label printer to label the content. I bought these boxes to store small tool kits that couldn't be stored. For example a set of self centering drill bits, different types of oilers, step drill bits etc. They are small enough to put in my pocket but big enough to see…

Disappointed with the packaging. Product is great

They came in DOUBLE plastic packaging. I was very disappointed with that. They're already a durable item and don't need plastic packaging (I'd prefer something biodegradable like paper or flimsy cardboard instead), let alone double pack. Dissatisfied with that. I use them to store screws, nails and other small hand essentials. I can write on it with a marker, but then I'll erase it if necessary. I also put magnets on a pair to hold them in place. They are beautiful and environmentally friendly…

Comparison of Altoids tin cans

The cans arrived in good condition in two plastic bags and each can was individually wrapped. I wanted to use these glasses for EDC kits. I was using a standard size Altoids box and wanted a little more room. The dimensions of these jars seemed the same size as a box of Altoids, but I decided to give it a try. Turns out they're just more skosh than the Altoids version (which is what I was hoping for). The tools in my current EDC kit fit within a millimeter or two. The hinges are stronger than…

  • Good workmanship

great for crafting.

You get a set of lenses similar to the popular Altoid but without the embossed metal and without the colour. This means they're a clean slate and don't have that minty smell that you get when you buy them candy-filled. I'm using them for a craft project with some of the girls I teach. We're going to make some compliment kits with little pieces of paper and a pen inside for them to compliment. However, they can be used for so many things. They are great for holding the backs of earrings and…

Stable tin cans!

Superb tin cans. They are almost the same as Altoid glasses, apart from the better quality. I went to buy a jar of Altoid ointment that I was making and it cost almost $4! for a few dollars more you get 6 here! They are thick and heavy, they don't dent or bang easily. I've compared them to some 2 ounce round cans (see photo) I have and in one picture you can see my wallet made a number and crumpled the round one. I've also added a picture of the can versus a regular BIC pen. You can do a ton…

Pros
  • - To be used as a main bin for storing small items around the home. Ideal for storing food such as pills, mints, candy, tea, herbs, plant seeds and more.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Wanted to wait to write my review until I tried setting it on fire to make Char Cloth. They survived the first bombardment well. I can't speak later, but there doesn't seem to be a problem and I plan on burning more cloth in it. I tried to burn the fabric in two ways: 1) by making a small (very small) hole at the top with the tip of a steak knife, and 2) without a hole at the top by trying to relying on the loops to get enough air into the charcoal. It's definitely better with a hole at the…
