Iwata IWA9233 Spray Gun (AZ3HV2-20GC HVLP with 2.0 Nozzle) - Superior Quality and Precision for Professional Finishing Review

Works great, the 2.0 tip sprays some of the thicker primers I like. As others have said, the fan is small but gets the job done.

This gun hits the material like a fire hose, so pouring anything other than primer through it is not recommended. Perfect for priming large panels and gets the job done quickly.

The gun was bought to spray construction primer. Primer. Nice spray gun, but I'd prefer the regular Devil's bit to the Iwate anytime. Airbrushes are meant to spray paint, not paint on the shelf, to be admired like a painting.

This is a good gun and parts are easy to find for. I use it for priming and priming on small parts as the smaller fan beam is perfect for me.

I bought this gun after purchasing an Anest Iwata LPH440 (almost twice the price of the 9233) that didn't spray our thick-walled primer. 9233 sprays thick primers very well, applies smoothly with minimal overspray. I agree with the other reviewer that the atomizer is small, but for a lot of the work we do for insurance, that's a plus. You don't need an 8" fan when doing minor repairs, but if you're priming entire panels, it'll get the job done. Although I definitely don't want to fill the kit…
