My sons made me a custom cutting board for all my heavy cutting. Like Turkey, tri tip, ham ect. When he seen his dad using it he said you need to oil and condition it so b it can last forever. I immediately ordered this set because I want it to last forever. I watched the video and did exactly as they suggested. I bought enough for a life time, this stuff is amazing.

I have a nice, big Boos Block cutting board. Kept in the garage, except when actually used in the kitchen. Every time the board gets returned to the garage, I lightly sand it with an orbital sander, then oil it overnight, wipe it off, creme it overnight, and again wipe it off. You should hear the comments I get on how great my cutting board looks. It has that new look and feel to it. Totally recommend the oil and the cream.

I bought the Boos board for my daughter, who has been using an old warped board of a lesser quality. Maintaining your board your board is Easy - but you have to commit from the very beginning. What better way to treat a new board than to use what the maker uses? They know that board & its needs. We’ll treat it together initially so she knows what she needs to do. I hope one day, her granddaughter can inherit that board as a well treated heirloom.

Boos Block is great stuff! The only downfall would be the extra, little elbow grease needed to do the job. But, believe me, the results are well worth it! A sample if the Mystery Oil came with my cutting board, so I knew what I was getting there. The wax product was good, I even used it on a butcher block kitchen cart I have. The issue is the packaging. The tube split open at the seal on the end when I squeezed it out the first time. I just adapted and squeeze it the big hole in the wrong end. Like I said, the product us great. The packaging needs improvement.

Both the liquid and semi-solid wax work well! But that black applicator just sheds and started to crumble first use. Don't bother with it. The wax in the squeeze bottle isn't as easy to get out as you'd hope, so you'll need to warm it up before trying, same with applying the wax. Great for all your wood kitchen items, not just the Boos.

In general it is a product which is worth your money, gives a delicate beautiful color for your board. Just be aware, it took a half bottle to soak 3 Zwilling bamboo boards: big, middle, small.

Like many of previous purchasers of this item I too received the mystery oil with the label vs printed on the bottle and the board cream with antimicrobial crossed out with Sharpie marker. Just purchased a board so I wanted to use the oil and cream to get the board off to a good start. Since it is so expensive I wasn't about to have all the product soak up on a rag or paper towel. I washed my hands, dried them and commenced rubbing the oil on the board. Let that dry for 24 hours then wipe off the excess and apply the cream for another round of 24 hours. I’m really impressed with this product. I’ve been using another brand but it took several coats and didn’t give me the "dry” finish I was looking for. Boos Block oil and cream were easy to apply and I love the finish! This product can take some really time to apply depending on what you’re applying it to but it works so incredibly well for chopping boards and kitchen utensils! I’m over the moon with it and so excited to start using it regularly because you get a lot of product for the price, it’s really good value!
