I've got two Boos cutting boards; one huge one that's 3" thick and a new one that's 1" thick. The huge one developed cracks between the laminations so when I bought the new one, I bought this stuff, too. Although I've used Boos Mystery Oil on the old one, it didn't seem to help--it's basically mineral oil with antimicrobials added to it. I'm hoping the Board Cream (mineral oil and beeswax) will "fill in" the gap in the large board and keep it from splitting further. Overall, the price is too…

Using both products, butcher block looks great. I've always just used an oil on my Boos Butcher block. Happy they arrived in a plastic zip lock bag. Mystery Oil leaked a little. Rat's, I didn't think of taking a before picture. In reading other reviews of "counterfeit", this label was not applied to the mystery oil bottle, it was definitely printed onto the bottle. Would buy again when I'm low.

I purchased this to get life back into my wood board which had become so dry it lost its shine. I had wooden spoons that were very dry and wood grain no longer visible. I used this as directed and everything looks brand new. I've even washed it a couple times post treatment and it is keeping it's shine.

If you buy good things and want them to last (cast iron, leather boots, handmade cutting boards) you have to take care of them and keep them moisturized. Moisturizing and oiling your cutting board will make it look nicer, clean easier, and last longer. You have nice things…take care of them.

I say second stage because this is used after the first stage is applied with BOOS Mystery Oil on all surfaces top, bottom, and sides of my two large BOOS Cutting Blocks. A thin coat of oil is allowed to stay on the block for at least 8 hours and better if 24 hours, then wiped off with paper towel. The BOOS Block Cream is rubbed in on all surfaces and also allowed the same time to penetrate and wipe off. This leaves a water resistant beeswax coating on the wood. This product is easy to use - apply a thorough coat, allow to soak in overnight, then buff with a clean cloth. It does a fantastic job of refurbishing and protecting wooden items. I used it on a dough bowl, several cutting boards and serving boards. It works like magic!

I highly recommend for booz cutting boards. You spend so much for a nice cutting board its easy to maintain with the mystery oil and the wax is great for sealing once a month. I oil the board at least once a week.

The product arrived no problem but when using the board cream the bottom of the tube opened making it a messy application process! Really don’t want to go through the process of returning and reordering so guess I am stuck with defective packaging 😒 To John Boos please improve your packaging and quality control 🤔

Brings your board back to life! But don’t wait until it’s dull before using. Once a month is about right. Follow the instructions and your board will stay healthy. No weird smell, wipes right off. I let it sit overnight. Looks like new after each use. With how much these boards cost, this oil and conditioner are worth it!
