Not impressive, get a real macro lens, not this

After trying the Sony A6000 ILCE I wasn't impressed with this lens. His macro seems basic. As for non-macro, where it claims to "glow" portraits; not sure if i want that at all. The aperture setting is not done via the camera, but via the ring on the lens. It responds poorly or not at all to the Sony A6000. This is purely manual focusing. I was trying to return it to get a real macro lens and not something that is useless. And I need a lens that understands and uses Sony(?) protocols to…

However, a lot of advertising.

Manual macro lens with large aperture and "glow" at large aperture. A typical macro lens (like the Laowa 56mm) will work up to F2.8, but it's a very sharp 2x lens. The softness and glow of the lenses appear at wider apertures, especially against dark or high-contrast backgrounds, and some find them attractive. As a budget macro lens, this is fine, but gives up to 0.5 magnification. It's sort of a combination of a 0.5x macro lens with a wide-angle lens (I really like that), a manual (moderate)…

The lens works well and may be better than separate blurs in the long run/cost. I conduct rigorous testing on all of my photography gear. It was a job and now a hobby; I use Edmund Scientific resolution tests, color accuracy, saturation devices, etc. Anyhow, that's what I found about this lens attached to a Sony a7rIII at maximum quality and resolution. f/16 to f/8 work very well. good with some blur (intentional) and good depth of field (expected). Those three stops work the same, but f/11 is…

why be normal for digital cameras Accessory

An interesting lens that has some disadvantages compared to the A7II. I'm not a fan of 50mm "normal" lenses. They are too ordinary, too boring and too often produce uninteresting images. There's a reason they've been replaced by clustered zoom lenses. But standard zooms have their problems: they're slow, they lack the sharpness of the old regular lenses, and there are problems with distortion. At every focal length, they fall short or far short of their mainstream replacements. The Velvet 56 is
