This is what is on the camera and photo

This is exactly what I wanted from a counterweight. It works and I can easily tell where it is in the dark. It can also double the strain on the legs if bought in pairs, but I wouldn't recommend it for that purpose.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Some bugs

Large Counterweight

These counterweights are used in an astrophotographic setup to balance a digital SLR camera and lens. The mount counterweight is much larger than I need for this camera and lens and the Manfrotto weights work very well.

Pros
  • Several Competitors
Cons
  • Protection

Mic Stand Counterweight

I use a mic stand or boom for my iPad and this weight is perfect for holding things in place. Also, it can be used for a variety of things while those specifically designed for mic stands are what you need. And I don't understand why I was asked to rate HEAT for this thing.

Pros
  • Superb done
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Ideal for losing as little weight as possible.

This is what I was looking for. Ideal for holding a tripod in archery competitions. The base of the tripod has to fit in the firing line with the archer, so the base is quite narrow. On windy days, the tripod may tip over unless tied down or weighted down.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Appearance

I bought three of these and they balance my beauty dish well when it's on the fully extended rod. They are quite snug and not very worn yet. I am very happy with their durability; what I expect from the name Manfrotto. Scratches on orange and black metal parts can be easily painted over if necessary. Very happy with the product.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Nothing here

Not bad, not much, but that's how it is.

These things are a must if you work on lamp posts or poles even in a sparsely populated area. Every lighting stand I own has one semi-permanently attached. The little handle is a nice touch as we used to have to have a socket wrench handy to put them on and off their stands. This 3lb counterweight is a bit small, I expected more, have never used one that small, but if you need exactly 3lbs it will work.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Clarity

quality, simple. Quite small.

I put this on the bottom of my stand to make it heavier. Not much to say other than that it works well and looks very well made. This would be a good counterweight for an arrow, but I always use it at the bottom of a light pole. I don't like lugging around sandbags that I have to put on and take off every time. So I just leave it attached to the stand. This is the best solution I've found other than hiring an assistant.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Highly balanced microphone

Works well. The clamp that secures it to the mic stand is good (easy to tighten and won't slip off, but not difficult to loosen as it has a well-sized four-way screw cap) and the weight is good, just enough to take the stem with leaving the SM58 on to be expanded by a good, useful and functional measure. The orange color is useful for people not to stumble upon it because they might miss the black weight. If I needed another one like this, I wouldn't mind having another one like this. Just…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
