Considering the quality and price I should recommend it and put it back on my shopping list. I prefer to hold the camera and this pen directly in my hand because it makes me look very professional. I still like this thoughtful article.

Very strong and comfortable to hold. The dial makes it easy to turn the camera on and off. On my camera, the handle is inserted into the battery cover and closes there. The base opens to hold two batteries, making the battery last twice as long! Doubles the power, very handy when you're short on time and need battery confidence.

I've seen some reviewers complain about low battery, camera issues, etc. I haven't experienced any of that. The grip interacts well with the camera (through the menu system I can see both batteries, all buttons work as they should, etc.). I would rate this build a 7.5/10 - it shows a bit of wobble even when scrolled down. But for the money I paid I'm more than satisfied!

Absolutely deserves over 5 stars based on quality and price. The trigger is present, everything works perfectly. The device looks very well made, I particularly like that the tripod mounting hole is made of metal, massive use. The battery cover is conveniently located at the bottom and slides out to the side, making it convenient to change without removing when needed. Highly recommended.

The problem I have is that the focus joystick on the handle itself doesn't work very well. It's slow and awkward to move, so I have to use the joystick on the camera body, which can be a problem.
