Solid task light

This dimmable lamp provides good task light when you need it and a pleasant ambient light at other times. I will buy again if necessary.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

3 months on stoves, ovens and hobs

These halogen bulbs are advertised as having a 4000 hour lifespan. One of them burned down after 103 days. We probably leave them on for less than an hour a day, which is why a single bulb lasts 103 hours, not 4000! Let's see how the other holds up. Cheap Chinese junk.

Pros
  • Trial for a year
Cons
  • Not bad

Terrible product on hoods

Bought twice. I bought a second time thinking maybe I received a bad product the first time. Now I know this product is useless. Put two new bulbs in the hood 07/20/2020; by August 9, 2020, both were burned. I think the first two I bought didn't last 2 months. I would have expected a $17 lightweight to last a lot longer.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Works as a replacement for bulb 92348

They fit my Dacor hood and are a replacement for part 92348. I've tried at least 4 other bulbs from Revain and Menards and these are the only bulbs that work. Easy to install, dimmable, and bright. The Dacor bulbs have lasted a very long time, but replacing with genuine Dacor bulbs is $100 for 2. We're hoping to update our range soon, so we've chosen a cheaper option. I will update the review if the bulbs don't last more than 6 months.

Pros
  • High marks for tester support and durability
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Not worth it for ranges, ovens and hobs

I agree with Abby. I don't trust the good reviews above and think these bulbs are inferior to the actual Dacor bulbs from their website. Yes, Dacor brand lights are expensive, but they last a year or even two. After we built our house it must have been 5 years or more before we changed the lightbulb in the Dacor range hood. Those cheap Revain bulbs that we've bought several times only last a few months. I switched two last month and now another one is out.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other options

Both bulbs stopped working after less than 3 months.

I also agree with Abby and Susan that these lamps are inferior and short lived. I suspect in all published reviews. I purchased late October 2019 and installed the bulbs in November, neither bulb worked until February, both burned out in less than three months of using the light. I do NOT recommend these lamps. If you want to know you're buying lightbulbs that last longer, spend the extra money on real ones. Or, if you want to save some money on the dice, try elsewhere. Here you are unlucky.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

CHEAP AND SHORT LIFE Suitable for cooker hoods

Ordered these lamps twice, I think I'm learning slowly. Each time, the lamps lasted approximately "4 1/2 to 5 months" with normal use. I use the hood when I'm cooking on the stove and turn it off when I'm done. The original lamps lasted almost 15 years, so while they're significantly more expensive, they're worth it - not just in $$$, but in the time and effort. If you do the math, at that burnout rate, replacing these bulbs only takes about 18 months to add up the cost of the good bulbs…

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • High price
