4/12/2020 Update to my original review- After CAREFULLY installing this liner for my 1500 gallon pond with 20 fish while making sure nothing was under, around or in the pond that could possibly cause a puncture, it still managed to spring a leak/crack somewhere and lose water. The water level goes down almost 1 inch per day and it's not hot here yet. I removed the waterfall to make sure it wasn't evaporation as well. I had to spend 125.00 for the liner plus 400.00 to have it professionally…

Pros
  • This is a decent liner. Not very thick but does the job on a budget. No leaks yet
Cons
  • I did not like the rigidity of this material. I used it for waterfall underlayment.

Great liner for the money ;8>)

The price is right, However the other liner I bought last week is easier to work with and is rubber. This liner is more of a plastic. I'm in utah and I hope it doesn't crack when its frozen. But saying that I would buy it again because for a 15'x20' it was $100 cheaper.Thank you very much!

Pros
  • 20 x 18 x 10.25 inches
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other pond liners on the market

Revised from 5 stars to 1. Leaked before it was in a month!

I ended up having to replace the liner in my pond again this year for the 7th time in 22 years. I really hope this one lasts a lot longer than my others. I unfolded it and let it lay in the driveway for 3 days to get the folds out and soften in the sun a little. My daughter and I installed it by ourselves easy as can be! 10’x8’ by 4’ deep, no problems. We even avoided all my plantings around my well established pond. Now fingers crossed on durability but it looks like a good one! This liner has…

Pros
  • 20 Mils HDPE Rubber Liners: The pond liner is made of HDPE material, provides superior durability & flexibilitiy while maintaining the ability to stretch, can restrain the penetration of harmful substances into the pond and give your fish and plants a secure living environment.
Cons
  • May require additional materials and tools for proper installation

Leaks, leaks, leaks

Punctures sooooo easily. After repairing three or four leaks, I finally drained the pond and took it out to find at least 10 more. So disappointed!

Pros
  • Outdoor Décor
Cons
  • May not hold up well in extreme weather conditions

PVC hard to fix the corner well of the pond

What I received It's make by PVC, not Rubber, need to very careful to install, it will very easy to broke, Will see how long it would last. Not easy to smooth out the corner when put in the pond.

Pros
  • Water Gardens & Ponds
Cons
  • Prone to discoloration and staining over time

When I unpacked it ,there was a hole in it that was patched from the factory. The liner is plastic and punctures easy. After I installed it in my pond, I had to patch small holes even though I had liner under it to prevent roots and other things from puncturing it. I should have sent it back, but am anxious to get my pond set up.

Pros
  • 20 mil thickness - This Pond HDPE Skins is strong enough to withstand extreme weather conditions, more durable, tear-proof, and puncture-proof and UV radiation
Cons
  • Can be difficult to clean and maintain

Not good for a small pond

While we were excited about the thickness, hoping to avoid leaks, this was way too thick for a small backyard pond. It was difficult to work with and wouldn't mold to the walls of the pond. Giant mess on our hands, had to cut areas to line our waterfall, using water sealing tape. Woke up this morning to the pond still leaking. Not a good choice for our needs, and since we installed it we can't return it. Costly mistake :(

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • Can be easily punctured or torn if not handled with care

Very flexible good for me

The size was difficult to work with but it’s very flexible and durable. We hope it lasts longer than the last two PVC liners.

Pros
  • Very good quality. Thick
Cons
  • It's plastic not rubber

Will not purchase this product again.

It’s more like vinyl instead of rubber, which makes it stiffer and less pliable, which makes it less likely to lay smoothly over your pond.

Pros
  • Good Performance - Our fish pond liner is 16x20FT dimension, has good flexibility, easy to bend and fold to fit the contours of pond rocks & walls. In addition, good waterproof performance can effectively retain the water in your pond.
Cons
  • Limited color and aesthetic options

not worth the money

I installed this in my pond and began putting the rock on it. I filled it and my pond drained overnight. I removed the rocks and found multiple holes in the liner. The other liners I have used have never been so easy to get holes.

Pros
  • .45 mil rubber makes all the difference in durability
Cons
  • This is not rubber nor soft or will mold more like thick plastic! Very upset!!!

Material not flexible as described.

This product description mentioned it’s pliability. It is not pliable at all. Very stiff and not possible to bend or contour. Will be returning. Placing back in the box is a chore.

Pros
  • Pond Liners & Seals
Cons
  • Can be difficult to work with due to its size and weight

This is what you want .Great product

After years of issues with other liners in my backyard pond. This was the answer very strong and durable. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Widely Application - The pon liner is a perfect for fish ponds, water features, retention ponds, fountains, waterfall and water gardens. It can be adapted to ponds of various sizes with steep or gently sloping sides, narrow corners, contours and shelves
Cons
  • May not be suitable for larger ponds or water features

This is not rubber it’s more of a hard plastic

Not using it for the pond using it to cover Firewood so the canvas doesn’t get holes poked in it from the wood that is not rubber

Pros
  • Works great
Cons
  • Good only two months leaked after two months.

A good buy good for me

I’ve had this in my fish pond for many months and never leaked at all, I Recomend this to all diy pond builders That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Easy to Use & Clean - Pond liner underlayment have good flexibility, Can be cut for fit different shapes ponds.Provides a flat surface for your pond and reduces soil buildup.allowing you to clean the pond easily.
Cons
  • Requires proper installation to prevent leaks and damage

Not as flexible, but a nice price

I have purchased 3 different liners from Best Buy. I thought this one would be like the others, but it was not. It is thicker and slightly less flexible than the fabric like liners I have purchased in the past. I have concerns that this winter the liner will freeze and crack because of it's thickness. This liner would be great for any pond that has no need for a fold (no corners!). Because it is thicker, it was harder to work with, but I did finally get it in place and trimmed to fit my…

Pros
  • uyoyous
Cons
  • Not environmentally friendly or biodegradable
