I've never had a waxed apron for woodworking. I didn't even know it was that difficult. My only complaint is that it was too small for my body. I'm not that fat, but it was too small for me. I'm sure it's a great waxed apron, but it's not for me.

I don't have another work apron to compare with this one but I enjoyed working in it. I made my work more efficient and easier. I always have things I use easily accessible and don't get lost because I can bring them back to where I keep them. The magnetic section in the center is also VERY useful for holding devices while I align parts. Definitely recommend getting one of these if you don't already have one.

I never had an apron but my wife got tired of washing my shirts. I mostly do mechanical stuff and wasn't sure if I would like it so I didn't go for leather and instead wore it all day at the weekend. It's really well made and I think I only paid $26 off. My wife sewed the shoulder pads where I usually wear them so I don't have to adjust them every time. Nice, thick and heavy apron. It's comfortable and doesn't pull up my collar or unbutton my shirt like the ones that go around my neck. It perfectly holds my phone, pen, scribe and machinist's square in the top loops and other toolmaker's bits and bobs in all the bottom pockets. I've had several shop aprons in the past but none of them have worked completely for me. . It's not "full of tools" as some people may have to work for them. I mainly use it to keep pencils, tape measures, and simple screws within reach. It seems like its main purpose was to protect me from sawdust and dirt when using a tool that doesn't come with my dust extraction system. Here's the downside.
