Works well for most things, NOT built for impact drivers. I like o have this with me just in case it makes my life more convenient but it’s nit a necessity and not as good as the ads may portray it to be.

I bought this product after seeing it all over the place. The concept is amazing but it doesn't catch to the bolts as easy as it seems. You have to be sure that it really catches the bolt before you start tightening I accidentally broke clips on a set of headlights for not being careful enough. Aside from that, it seems like a solid product. Its a bit thick but has a great price

I loved this socket I work on car a lot and I'm always at the junk yard and I was just so annoyed of caring a case of tools around the yard, but now there's no need with this brilliant socket. I love it really hope you guys make bigger ones .

I don't know why this product got so high star reviews. It works, but it's hard to put screws in the middle when you unscrew them. Most of times screws fells because them out of axis during unscrewing. Creative idea but needs better design. Also, strong magnet in axis will be better.

It broke (ish) on my first use but bare with me here. I bought this to pull out a specialty broken headed/overly rusted bolt from firearm that said no to every other tool I threw at it. This was able to do the job thankfully. I did have to put a great amount of force on it, while applying to the most awkward bolt head possible, which damaged several of the pins making them stay stuck down. Worth it overall, its a two pack at great price, and was cheaper option that actually worked.

Absolutely not something for heavy use or with an impact driver. BUT… I do think it is worth keeping in hand for thinks like furniture assembly.

They do work, but the major problem is space. Lot of applications do not have enough space for these socket grips to work properly. If there is enough space, than they do the job, but switching from one type of socket to another when working is a bet tiresome.

This is such a super cool gadget! I got one for me and gave the other to my dad. I had to take a headboard off my bed for the carpet people, and this happened to come the day before. I threw it onto my cordless drill and zip zip zip - off came all the bolts without having to fuss figuring out bolt size, etc. Wonderful. I can't say enough great things! And totally cheap, too!

Deficits:The pins only retract roughly 1/4", this prevents you from using it on almost any nut, you have to use it on the head of the bolt as you can't push the socket down far enough to reach the nut.You have to hold the socket tight against the item you are attempting to use it on. The pin springs constantly try to push it off so you can't use it 1 handed. If you need a wrench on the other side (ie the nut side) you are out of luck as that takes 2 hands.On smaller objects you have to use…

I purchased these universal socket grip adapters as I've been without the correct size socket a couple times and thought this would solve my issue. That being said, I have not had the opportunity to use it on a socket yet; however, I had a stripped screw situation. I do my own home renos and have many, many tools. but nothing to remove a badly stripped screw. Saves a lot of space not having to carry around so many sockets, but of course, it cannot help in every situation: not for narrow or deep spaces. Also, I seem to have damaged mine already. I blame the impact driver I use it in.

I didn't buy these to do "heavy lifting", but I ended up having to ratchet 5/16" lag bolts into wooden studs to mount a TV support frame. For a normal, correctly sized socket, this would not be a questionable operation, but for these floating pin socket grips, I was concerned I'd be pushing them beyond their ability to handle a difficult load. However, the socket was able to ratchet all four bolts tight without slipping, binding, or otherwise disintegrating. Good on it!

This universal socket broke the first time I used it, but I'd still rate it 5 stars for versatility and ingenuity. One of the spring loaded rods came out so I popped it back in and the socket has worked just fine ever since. I have realized that this universal socket works best when you confidently apply force to the bolt.

This is actually neat but didn't work for what I needed and it's not a tool waiting for a use.I need to unscrew bolts from the bumper of a Jeep and this barely doesn't reach the nuts because the bolts are normal length, but too long for this socket. This won't unscrew the nuts because the bolts are too long, hopefully that made sense.

Fits things I need to adjust nicely, but it often requires a little extra pushing it onto the object, otherwise the pins push the object out.

I bought this for my daughter so she doesn't have to have a lot of tools in her apartment but still can do things. I need one now!

These are occasionally useful when you know you'll need a socket, but not sure of the size. Good to keep in your car for emergency use where you don't want to keep a full set of sockets.
