I purchased this product March 2021. I immediately charged one of the batteries to test my first purchase of this product. It worked well, certainly much improved over the old Ni Cad DeWalts that were on there death bed. I thought I would just wait until the funeral and then charge up the other Energup. And that where things went wrong. I fully understand that that battery was a full year out of replacement. I also understand that it was never used and would not charged past 10.5 volts. So…

After charging the LI battery, I put it into my sawsall. Using as needed on a ongoing project I haven't had to exchange the battery yet - would have had to change the ni-cad battery at least once.

Edit 4/14/21: I'm slow getting around to updating my review. These only made it for about 3 months before they started being dead right off the charger. Dad removed one from the charger and it ran out while drilling a single pilot hole in a post for a hinge pin using a spade bit. This happened enough times that we concluded something was wrong, but we never figured out if the charger isn't charging them in the first place or if it is charging them then the charge is cut off and the battery then

Not the same quality as DeWalt of Makita batteries. But they cost a small fraction of the DeWalt lithium batteries, if you could even find them. DeWalt has abandoned its 18v customers, and this one has abandoned DeWalt.

For the price, these are not bad BUT.One battery is great, it held a charge and I have zero issues with, the other does not last and it does show a full charge. I also noticed that even with a full charge, the unused battery loses a bar of charge after 2 days, it should not do that. This would be 5 star if it was not for the one battery.I am past my warranty so I can't return plus I hate to return the good battery.Oh well, I guess I should have expected this.

These work great on our existing tools, they had become sluggish, now we get full power and they last longer on one charge than when new. I would highly recomend purchasing the batteries.

These batteries are terrible. The plastic case on 1 battery separated within 2 months and the 2nd battery just stopped charging after 6 months. We took a chance and learned it is no worth it. Save your money and buy the name brand.

after a while the batteries don't seem to make good contact in the tool and the function is intermittent, not good when using a sawzall on a ladder and have to keep pushing on the battery pack to make it work. The battery packs are just one year old

The BEST upgrade I have ever made for my Dewalt tools, I recommend them highly to anybody with old school 18v batteries, That's my feedback.

Charges very quickly and lighter than The NiCad batteries in the same form factor.I love that there are charging indicator lights to show how much charge there is.Much cheaper than the DeWalt batteries and, now that the DeWalt's product line has been discontinued, they are a welcome alternative to adapters and buying used batteries.

I bought a pair about 3 months ago and one of the batteries cuts out sporadically. It charges without a problem and even when fully charged it stops sporadically when used in my circular saw, driver, drill, recip saw, and battery-operated light so it's the battery and not the tool. I suspect there is a poor connection internally but on opening the case there is nothing visibly wrong.It is beyond the return period so I can't return it although the other battery is working fine. DO NOT BUY. Both batteries are dead in less than 7 months. I only used them on occasionally as part of general home projects. I found both on the charger (sitting for days) dead and not charging. When they did work, they worked very well (strong and last a while between charges).

Not happy with the performance of this battery battery. When I run my drill, it run for a few cycles and the drill stops. After a short pause, It starts to work again only to stop again. I don't like the power surges that this battery seems to put out on all of the tools that I use.

These are great replacement batteries. They deliver awesome power to your 18V Dewalt tools. They don’t stop immediately when they are dead. They stop and when you pull the trigger again they work until you let go of the trigger. It gives you 1 or 2 more cuts with a skill saw before you have to swap batteries. I highly recommend these batteries.

Just received these batteries, put them on the old dewalt charger & they indicated that they charged 100%. Have not had a chance to use them yet, but did try them in the drill just to see if everything was working properly. Everything working good @ this point. If batteries perform as advertised then this is a good alternative to buying @ complete new drill & battery set. Arrived 50% charged.

Batteries will not stay electrically connected with the impact wrench, they are locked in but loose connection, take an hit on bottom or remove an reinstall work for a few ore minutes. It's like that in my zaw zaw also

Works with oem charger once battery registers (may take several insertions). Very powerful. Fast charging and longer service cycle. Can recommend enough.

Battery does not work all the time. Frequently stops working randomly. Although seller replaced the defective batteries, the replacement batteries have the same issue. Also, it appears the batteries overheat and can cause damage to tools. Possibly a fire hazard. See photo.

Now I have more junk batteries to deal with. I won't be doing this again. Battery has full battery on indicator but works on no tools. Shaking it you can year something small rattling.

WOW ! what an upgrade , I have several Dewalt 18v tools and have used these batteries in all of them they really out preform anything DeWalt has to offer they hold up extremely well they take and hold a charge much better then original DeWalt batteries Tools that I used them in !/2 in Impact Drill Driver Recip Saw Circular saw Angled Finish Nailer and wet and dry vacum I held off on this rating to really put them to the the test and am really impressed also I bought his his charger replacement…
