I didn't buy these to do "heavy lifting", but I ended up having to ratchet 5/16" lag bolts into wooden studs to mount a TV support frame. For a normal, correctly sized socket, this would not be a questionable operation, but for these floating pin socket grips, I was concerned I'd be pushing them beyond their ability to handle a difficult load. However, the socket was able to ratchet all four bolts tight without slipping, binding, or otherwise disintegrating. Good on it!
