OK in a pinch, but not a go-to tool
These are occasionally useful when you know you'll need a socket, but not sure of the size. Good to keep in your car for emergency use where you don't want to keep a full set of sockets. And good for an ultralight general repair kit for minor tasks.These are also handy when you have a corroded fastener that is no longer the right size for a standard socket and an adjustable wrench isn't an option.But these do not replace quality socket sets, and you definitely wouldn't want to make them the first tool you reached for.
