Excellent aquarium thermometer water heater

I waited about 9 months to write a review because I noticed how many negatives there were and I don't understand why. This heater is amazing. I've never had any problems with it. It's very accurate and has been pretty solid so far. Great price too.

  • Pleasant to use
Cons

Fine as long as it worked

I actually really liked this heater. It was easy to use and worked like a charm. Unfortunately after 3 months it no longer works. When I went to bed it worked fine, but when I woke up in the morning it was completely dark. Resetting doesn't help. He is dead!

excellent heater suitable for aquarium thermometers

This heater is very easy to set up/use and keeps the aquarium within 1* of anything I've ever set up. Very easy to read LED and the optional external reader is a big plus. extra long cable so you can tie it or route it and place it wherever you can best view your rig.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Entered code E1. best in aquarium thermometer

Today I featured this heater on one of the social media groups I belong to. I came home from work and there was an E1 code on the heater. This should be the case if the heater is not completely submerged in water. My heater is probably 5-6 inches underwater. I've tried turning it off and resetting the temperature but nothing seems to work.

Most Recommended Heater

I bought 2 x 500w for my 125g tank. One was used for over 1 year with another brand of heater, then I bought another after another brand of heater accidentally blew out while changing the water. (I forgot to turn off the heating). So now I'm using 2500 watts for my 125g at 86f. So far, it's good. I strongly recommend using 2300w or 2500w for an aquarium over 100g, especially in winter. The heater lasts longer. Otherwise, working alone can damage the heater more quickly because it's working too…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons

Died after a month in the aquarium Thermometer

I really liked it while it was working but after a month it is giving out E1 codes even though it was completely submerged. The first time this happened I unplugged it for a while and then plugged it back in and it worked for another day. Nothing will make it work and my tank is down to 71 degrees and falling fast. I lost a Cory cat and the other two are lethargic. I have to go to Walmart after work and hope they have something because I can't wait two more days of heat without losing all my…
