Limited USB 2.0 compatibility

If you have a computer (laptop) only with USB 2.0, you will get a warning "Display connection may be limited" when you connect it. However, this will work. However, the next time you restart, the connection is not recognized, and every time you turn your computer on or off, you have to disconnect and reconnect the hub. some kind of pain So stay tuned!

Cons
  • Big and bulky

Good low power hub.

This is a very good low power USB 3.0 hub. It also supports a Power Delivery (PD) port. Comes with everything to get you up and running fast, even a small power adapter. It connects to your PC via the included Type-A to Micro USB 3.0 to Hub cable. It uses a small barrel plug for extra power if needed. Also included is a Type A to Micro C adapter for use with many tablets that don't have a Type A connector. The quality seems very good indeed. It's also small and light.

Nice little self-powered USB hub

I bought this because I needed a little self-powered USB hub for my old laptop. This item works fine. I have 2 or 3 other nodes including the JamesDonkey node. This has neither a card reader nor HDMI or VGA connections. This is strictly a small USB hub to convert a single USB port into multiple USB ports. It's good for both price and purpose.

Does what you expect; fails within a year

I was able to connect it to my PC with no problems and also connect it to power. When connecting peripherals to the ports, everything works as expected. I have no complaints about speed or stability. Plugging your phone into the yellow port will definitely charge it fast. I'm not sure how much power it puts out, but it's at least as good as the 2.1 amp charger I use in the car. ** UPDATE ** Less than a year later. forget about charging any of this. I turn on the tablet and nothing. A week ago I

Skip It - Computer Accessories and Peripherals

The voltage supplied from the external power connector is poorly regulated and is typically almost a full volt outside of the range required by USB. This causes some connected devices to stop working or reset. (Which is a common problem with reviews). Every time I plug it into the USB-C port on my Lenovo Yoga, I get a low display quality warning when I plug it into the device. Also, my Logitech wireless devices (mice/keyboards) don't work with it when connected to the PC via USB-C or USB3. Myโ€ฆ

Power transmission problem

I bought this and it is a very good device BUT: Here is a strange situation. My 2.5" external hard drive (not an SSD) is connected to a hub. It has no network connection, it is powered by a computer bus. This hub is not connected to a computer (USB cable is not connected.) . The power cable is connected between the hub and the power supply. So I think my drive is not being accessed because it is not connected to the computer. But the activity light on my external drive keeps blinking and theโ€ฆ

(not too old but) an old laptop gets a new life in the digital age

I am not interested in computer technology and my job does not require high tech computer specifications. However, the digital age forces me to connect more and more USB devices. When the time came I quickly researched the Revain and ordered it based on the specs and few reviews. I don't usually trust all Revain reviews especially those that aren't very well thought out, only compliments because I've come across some sellers who buy 5 star reviews to make their products stand out. Here's what the product description says: /XP and Mac OS X, Linux and Chrome OS. (USB 3.0 hub, backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1.) "My Windows 7 64-bit PC recognizes it once the driver is found online. My 2 32-bit Windows 7 computers do not recognize it. The support team responded quickly and politely, suggesting that I am looking for a driver, I have tried extensively but to no avail.
