Competitors continue to threaten and NIX has to prove itself as the best solution for private transactions, decentralized asset transfers, atomic swaps and other things. How accurately does NIX fork itself away from the competition in a positive way, what makes people say spiral Wanchain, it has this, and this, and this.

The network upgrade at block 232000 was successful and Sigma has been fully activated. This upgrade officially makes NIX the first network to implement Sigma on mainnet.
Pros
- It really takes elation in their ability for personal trading facilities across the chain and provides an indirect way to transfer resources around. They really have all the stops drawn here. NIX is powered by the NIX Ghost Protocol, which involves the best technology on the market, including the Zerocoin protocol, Stealth Outputs, TOR/i2p network protection, Bulletproofs, and more. Although competitors such as Wanchain are working in the same space, NIX seems that this is going to take the whole privacy issue a lot and it provides them with a distinguishing point of difference.
- It makes private transactions extremely easy to understand and through the various tech handling the privacy side of things, there’s no chance it can be traced back to the original source. The way it handles personal transactions is explained in super easy terms on their website. Coin A is traded their decentralized exchange, using a zerocoin, there is a bunch of stuff in the middle. Bulletproofs and other fancy privacy tech, it pops out on the other side and is then traded for the preferred Coin B.
- It has an incredibly strong brand, It has some of the best branding i’ve seen from a project like this. Their website is super simple to navigate which makes research a breeze, they’re very active on Social Media channels such as Twitter and the community behind NIX is extremely dedicated to the project.
Cons
- It is up against a few competitors, most noticeable Wanchain. It has a pretty fascinating team but Wanchain is in deep with some big tech giants in and around Asia.
