This little fella has worked well for us over the past few weeks. Definitely offers some insulation from the sun through the open roof vent (read: the vent doesn't have a "Maxaire" type cover. I bought it more for its dimming ability and it works great. Just blast it like a pool toy and it is suitable ) directly on site. Depending on the temperature, you may need to add more air (like tires, the pressure is lower when it's cold). A good product. Although a pillow might work just as well.

I thought it was a pillow type insulator - found out it was an inflatable pillow - possibly it was a read error - but what killed me was opening the packaging - got it blown - blown - blown - tried to fasten - didn't fasten. Release some air I just put in - ran out - and tried to zip it back up - then let a lot of air out - then tried to zip it up again - POP opens and now I have an inflated pillow that won't close and can't get a zipper. Come back! Get a heavier item - that sucks!

At first I thought this would be a great solution to the alternative which is a much more expensive foam tray, but I was wrong. Once the air in the inflatable chamber cools, this insert will no longer be able to stay in place and will end up spending more time on the ground than advertised. I'll try to put a piece of tape on it to at least capitalize on what I've spent since Revain's return policy is so short and this issue didn't really surface until the temps were cool. So much for thinking…

Please note that this cushion has an inflatable plastic inner part. This is not a foam tray. I inflated the pillow and tried to zip up the cover, the zipper unzipped almost immediately. The lid stays in place and the whole device gets stuck in the kitchen extractor. So it does what it should. My suggestion would be not to blow it up completely. Check fit by adding as much as needed.
