I'm a developer who often works at customer sites. I'm in the process of a major upgrade on one and have had to upgrade my work PC to dual monitors. I had to match an existing Dell and that was it. This is a good monitor for development (Microsoft Visual Studio). I can't talk about games. Happy with my purchase.

If you want to save space and get a built-in monitor with speakers, this monitor is for you. The screen resolution is good, the picture quality is good. I personally didn't like the monitor stand as there is no way to raise or lower the monitor. Honestly, there isn't much review of the screen itself because it's perfect. Maybe a photo. I notice that the viewing angle is so wide that there's no color or image shift even if you look at it completely from the side. I bought a BeeLink Mini PC and needed both a monitor and speakers. That helped. Nice display, good speakers. I connected the monitor to my computer with an HDMI cable and no AV cable. The computer recognized it without any problems. Now it is connected to both my iMac as a second monitor and my mini PC. iMac also recognized it without any problems. An HDMI switch is all I need to share the monitor with both computers. This is a brand new Dell monitor just released in August 2020.

I wasn't expecting this based on another review, but the Dell S2421H definitely comes with speakers. The stand isn't adjustable except for tilt, but it was easy to set up and my laptop found it immediately. Although it's very bright, maybe my old computer was weak, but I had to adjust the brightness because it burned my retinas. Overall a good buy, will update this review in a few months.

I use it to extend the display on my laptop for work. Mostly a static display, no fast movements, so I don't know about using it in games.

Bought as a gift for someone who works remotely. They love it. The price of this monitor is great. I wouldn't buy it for gaming, but it works great for home office or wfh applications.
