Just what I needed

I have a good radiator pressure gauge but I didn't have anything to check the radiator cap. The 12021 stunt allowed me to use my tester to check the opening pressure on my old radiator cap. The reason I wanted to know the reset pressure was that the upper radiator hose had come loose from the radiator and I wanted to confirm that the cap was the culprit. (1997 Ford Escort) was enough to pressurize the system. A great addition to the toolbox.

Stant 12021 Radiator Cap Adapter

The same stupid plastic part you'd pay twice (or more!) for one of the tool carts, online tool shops are cheaper than trucks but Revain beats them all. All these things are now made of plastic. I use this at a Subaru, at a Subaru dealership, daily with no problems. Works perfectly with Matco's cooling system tester which "accidentally" doesn't come with a cap tester. Just make sure the cap you are testing has a clean rubber seal or it will leak. (Same as everyone else I'm sure - no I'm sure)…

My cars were mostly larger Toyota models and some Nissan models. Of course, the important adapter is usually not the radiator cap check, but the system (where most cooling problems show up). The tool was originally used to install directly onto old radiators without an adapter, good hassle free connection. It also came with a
