No value in this product

I really don't like negative reviews but this product definitely failed, it was made so cheaply it couldn't even keep the antifreeze in the radiator.

  • Nice packaging
  • Quality

The plastic release handle will break.

Well, it's a radiator cap, but it used to be much better. The metal is thinner than before, and the outlet is plastic. Plastic exposed to the heat of the coolant and engine compartment begins to deteriorate and become brittle.

  • Stylish and modern design
  • Vulgarity

No stand. for caps

Made in China, fake stanta. Not made from quality materials to the typical standards I've seen before but for the price it was cheap and with a bit of fiddling I got it onto the heatsink without damaging it and it works. I just hope I don't have to delete it often, I don't usually have to.

Pressure builds unevenly

Almost every washer I have purchased does not build pressure, the small washer is loose enough to go through the overflow pipe and heat to full temp with virtually no gasket. I've had some that worked for a period of time and others that never worked.

  • Decent performance
  • Slightly cracked

Best looks you can get

I've been using these pressure release tab headphones for over 20 years and love them. While it's rare that you open the cap while it's hot, the pressure is on the overflow bottle and now on you. perfect idea I have also been using this branded gas cap for 40 years and still use the same cap.

  • Sturdy construction
  • Doubtful

Works but not as well as my original

Fits my '95 Dodge B2500 Van with a red button to quickly release steam in the tank. But I was a little disappointed in its quality because of the Stant name. The stainless steel cap is half the thickness of my original and the red plastic handle is also too thin. The logo/warning sign attached with two rivets does not affect the function, but wobbles and wobbles. For me, this product was cheaper and tipped too much.

Maybe four years?

I like the locking levers on the radiator cap. I bought this cap in 2014 and thought it was working fine until I drove down a steep road and parked. When I returned to my car after 5 minutes I saw a terrible green puddle under the front. I checked all the hoses and they were dry so I checked the expansion tank and found it was full and overflowing. I raised the safety lever but there was no pressure. So flooding the driveway allowed coolant to spill out through the cap, which filled the…

Better than similar.

Purchased to replace a different brand (Murray) radiator cap that was bought at a local auto parts store. Murray, who shares some similarities (but not many), is a much smaller version of this. Don't be fooled by appearances or belief that these are 2 peas from one pod. I did a decent comparison between the 2 and this is a real winner. The Murray started leaking within a few weeks of purchase and the tab didn't work as intended (it only helped unlock, but didn't relieve). This version of the…

It's going to work great for someone out there, that someone just isn't me.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Maybe it's because I replaced the stock heatsink with an OEM heatsink from Revain. But the cap is still "adjacent" but not properly attached. Flanges (don't know the real name) under the cap are only held by a millimeter, if not less. I pushed and pushed, slowly maneuvering and watching the cap come on, one side barely holding on at all times. I can remove the cover immediately if it needs to be locked. The bearing cover does not have this problem. I don't think
