Works as good as expensive ones

I bought this with some trepidation as I was upgrading my computer. I thought it couldn't be very good for that price. but I was wrong. It showed very good results, as evidenced by several stress tests of the updated machine while monitoring the temperature. I've used it a few times since then, including building a PC from scratch on the machine I'm writing this review on. It just works and at a great price.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Always fresh. in computer components

What I liked about this pack is that the thermal paste isn't all in one syringe. In the past I've had material that would come loose or dry out and by packaging and using it in these narrow cartridges, drying out and overuse problems have been reduced. I use it primarily to upgrade processors on existing older systems and haven't had any issues so far. It works well in older, low-power, high-performance systems (90 watt or greater processors). I recently used it on an old 35 watt laptop…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Not very thin, difficult to spread and seams roll off cleaned prepped heatsinks like dried 10 year old arctic silver. Doesn't stick or spread well, making it very wasteful. Also many of the tubes had large air gaps/bubbles, not even close to what they should be. If you weigh an empty tube compared to a full one they are 20-40% shorter. I doubt all the positive reviews as I have years of experience to judge this and that is a really bad price. Used all five tubes to barely cover a 150mm x 150mm…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Saved me a thousand dollars

My old Windows/AMD computer was getting buggy. It just crashed and turned itself off for unknown reasons. I was about to buy a new device when, on a whim, I decided to replace the thermal paste underneath the CPU. The problem was solved immediately. Hasn't crashed since then. Saved himself with a new computer. (I didn't need a new, fast, or big computer.) Any tube of thermal paste will do. One tube per processor would be correct.

Pros
  • Nice touch
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Poor quality thermal paste. Instead, buy a well-known brand.

Trying to use this paste to reinstall the cooler assembly on a Lenovo laptop after removing it to replace a worn/failed fan. It worked fine for the first few weeks, but then it started overheating and shutting down. I checked the temperatures and ran a stress test with OCCT and it was evident that no heat was being removed from the CPU. I ordered a tube of Arctic Silver 5 from a reputable vendor, cleaned and reattached the cooler, and now the laptop is running about 7-10°C cooler than with…

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Hardly ever
