Good solid cable. via cables and connections

Cat5E have been around for some time. I usually buy this in rolls of 1000ft at a time. It was a strong cable and was easy to work with when laying the line. The signal was transmitted normally with no problems. Sometimes you can cross the wires while crimping the ends. I think it's normal for a lot of us to do that. It's just part of being human and trying to get the job done as quickly as possible. That's what line testers are for, right? Turned out to be a good cable.

Great CAT5e cable! Cables and Connection Cables

Over the past 3 years I have purchased nine 1000ft boxes of this cable and have used it in several installations. This is a great CAT5e cable. It comes out of the box very gently, goes through attics and walls with ease, and withstands many hard (probably too hard) yanks and tugs without damage. This cable has become my go-to cable for CAT5e installations.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

Good for office wiring

If you are looking for a Cat5e cable at an affordable price, this box should suit you. I've used several boxes at work to hook up new office space with no problems. However, with the advent of new technologies, you should look at Cat6 cable instead, even if it's a bit more expensive. But if you just need to get it done on a budget then get this Cat5e. No problems with it compared to some cheaper cables.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Durability

Everything in color

Solid copper cable, never approx. The cable is easy to process and terminate. i love this stuff I use this color when routing security camera cables to distinguish them from network data cables, which are typically blue, white, or gray, while fire and alarm cables are red. When I go to where I routed the cables, I immediately know which ones are mine. Love the color separation.

Pros
  • Only plus
Cons
  • Without machine

Exactly as advertised, looks high quality

Seems like the last time I bought a cable box was insanely expensive - it wasn't. I've run many miles of cable and crimped tens of thousands of RJ45 ends so I know what a good cable is, and it is a good cable. In fact, I'll probably order the same ones but in different colors to properly color my home network.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Too silly

Not suitable for camera installation

Don't waste money using this for IP cameras. The signal keeps getting lost. I only use it for 3 cameras and have to return to my client to replace the 250ft. I will not buy it for my business needs. I hope this helps with setting the IP. Updated on 05/19/2020. I am renovating my office this month and am using this cable to replace old cables. Bad idea. Then, god, I check my network before I close the walls. I have an internet speed of 1 Gbps, this cable will not pass 100baseT, I need to replace

Pros
  • Cables and accessories
Cons
  • Cables shorter than others

This is the worst CAT5 I've ever dealt with. It kept kinking after we pulled a length of cable out of the box. The strangest thing was that he wanted to kill himself. You will have a clean looking cable, but if you examine it there will be a kink that will be catastrophic for conductivity. Unfortunately, we had walked about 800 feet of this material before we found this problem. We ripped it all out and took it and the other box with us. Even weirder, this only happened with the RED wire. Green

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Update: Works even if the cable is longer than 60ft

I made 3 cables for my IP camera using this cable. Those 30 feet or less work well. The one at 60 feet doesn't work. I cannot connect to the camera because the connection quality is very poor. When I ping it I only get 25-50% responses. No it's not a camera because I tried two different cameras and they behaved the same. So do not buy this cable if you plan to use a long network cable. Update 6/5/19 Updated to 5 stars. I found out why the 60ft cable wasn't working. I mistakenly used only half…
