ViewSonic VX2718 2KPC MHD: Immersive 2K Resolution, 165Hz, Anti-Glare Display, VX2718-2KPC-MHD, HD Review

This is a good monitor with 2 HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. The problems I encountered were: 1. It was difficult to attach the stand to the monitor - it didn't snap smoothly but required considerable effort. It was also not easy to tell if it was really fully attached.2. The monitor comes with 1 Displayport cable. Displayport is a doomed interface. HDMI is by far the most popular video interface and I was expecting at least 1 HDMI cable with a monitor.

This monitor is suitable for gamers. Out of the box, the monitor is in Eco mode, which makes it very dim even if you increase the brightness. However, this monitor is not as bright as most other standard 2k 144Hz monitors. The viewing angles are quite good and it comes with Free Sync with minimal ghosting. So for gamers, the experience will be very satisfying

Now I love working with Excel. Outstanding picture quality. Vivid colors, I suffer from severe astigmatism and this monitor changed everything for me. My eyes don't get tired that easily. I'm an accountant and this is great for spreadsheets.

Bright and crisp for desktop and gaming, the speakers can be used for a monitor but are a bit quiet. The stand was high where I needed it, so I replaced it with the adjustable Vesa 75mm stand that it has.

Easy to set up. The monitor has a clear depth image. I don't use sound in my setup. I added this as a work monitor 3 and have been very happy with the performance of the monitor.

Was a great monitor for gaming, a little dark but great picture for the price. However, the combination of such a heavy monitor and poor stand design caused my monitor to "fall face first" after impacting the table. It only took a month and a half. I wish it had a better stand so I could keep using it but now it's unusable.

When you look at reviews, be sure to check the model number that people are talking about. Not all monitors are the same. This monitor is great for the average gamer! There's no height adjustment on the stand, which there isn't, and the screen has thick bezels (1/4″) if you're planning on putting two monitors side by side, but overall this is a great standalone monitor so far!

Image quality is great for text; saves my eyes. The bend saves my neck. The price is reasonable (I won't continue the parallel). 10/10 I would buy again!

This monitor is great for the price, the only downsides I noticed were low brightness but still usable in a decently lit room and a bit of ghosting/blurring which I stopped noticing after 5 minutes of powering on have. The final negative was the totally unacceptable 1ms mode, which made the monitor so dim it was hard to see even in a dark room, so just skip that setting.

I've never seen worse building instructions for anything. It sounds like it. It prompts you to install the stand via the HDMI inputs. This is clearly wrong, the connector is next to the inputs. I put the stand, but it is significantly weakened and unstable. I'll probably update the review after I've turned it on, but right now I'm so frustrated that I stopped what I was doing to write this review. The quick start guide is a joke, and a bad one.

A good product. Mine came with a dead pixel, but nothing that would affect overall performance and I can't even see it. That's my feedback.

Price + size - that's maybe the only positive. You will have a halo no matter what. The monitor's internal settings can only help given the cheaper panel used. For those unfamiliar, Ghosting looks like the old version of Trace-Pointers in Windows XP. Every movement on the screen leaves a "ghost trail". affects the height of the halos. If anyone wants a good $200 monitor, this is the only issue I've had with the display port cable. You will need to use third party software to allow 165Hz or you will need to get a new cable.

Overall surprising for the price. However, what holds this monitor back is the low overall brightness. Virtually useless in a bright room. I use it in a dark room so it works for me, but I don't recommend this monitor if you intend to use it for gaming in a room with lots of natural light.

I bought this last year (2021) at a Thanksgiving sale. My other monitor worked fine. I don't know why I bought a new monitor but I love the wide screen! I had no problems with my new monitor.

However, be aware that a 1440p monitor will look terrible at 1080p, so make sure you have a good GPU. I say 3060 and above is the way to go.

The monitor is excellent, there are no dead pixels, the picture quality is excellent. The only issue I have is that the stand is very tall and not adjustable. If you don't mind a big monitor, this will suit you.
