Perfect in every way except for the price.

I bought this to use my daughter's tablet on long car rides. We managed to break our previous tag holder because it completely snapped into place and something caught on it while reloading and just broke it in half. I was excited about this because the magnetic clip can prevent this. And YAY, it looks like it will. It holds tight but breaks off if something gets stuck and pulls hard without damaging it. and allows my daughter or my wife to grab the tablet without having to unzip it and spend 20

Good, but with some doubts

This is an extremely durable iPad mount that fits almost unobtrusively around the headrest of most cars. ), but that's part of what makes it durable. A black square piece of plastic opens up on one side of the mount, which you can turn a small silver switch to open the mount. It fits over the two headrest posts and then you close the bracket around the posts. The locking part is small and flat so that nothing protrudes and does not disturb the passenger sitting in front of the iPad holder. The…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Stupid

I'm not stupid, but when I first tried to figure out how to open the part that attaches the bracket to the headrest, I had a hard time. You need to remove the top cover and use your finger to push a flat metal disc with a rod through it towards the front of the device, after that you can separate the headrest part and attach the device. Now I found out. This is the only time you will need to remove the plastic cover. The compartment under the plastic cover does nothing else. So move on to step…

  • Easy-to-read control panel

Good and bad for the holder

This holder holds the tablet very well in the car. I was concerned that the mechanism for attaching to the headrest post would not be as secure or a little "loose" horizontally, but it isn't. Remains very stable. This mount also has a plus, but it really depends on your vehicle. Many other headrest mounts hold the tablet farther from the headrest (depending on your vehicle). So in my case, the other headrest holders bring the tablet much closer to the rear seat passengers than I think. This…

  • Great for a small home

  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

  • Not bad, but...

I'm no fool, but when I originally tried to figure out how to open the part that attaches the headrest bracket I had a hard time. You need to remove the top cover and use your finger to slide a flat metal washer with a rod through it towards the front of the device, after that you can separate the headrest part and attach the device.
