Good size for 5 and up. Probably a little big for real littles. We start soccer at 3 years old here. That said, I like that it has three separate areas for clothes, ball, and shoes. I needed some storage for my garage, seeing as I didn't have any. I bought this shelf to store my power tools and various toolboxes.Instructions were good, but assembly is pretty intuitive and you likely wouldn't need them. Only tool needed is a rubber mallet.
