The photo shows the slipper without an ankle strap but when I received it it had a strap. It's ok because I can just cut it off later. This is the second one I've bought, the next size up for my son. It is very comfortable, my son loves wearing it. One of the main reasons for buying this particular style is that the rubber on the bottom of the slipper has good traction. They don't slip on wet surfaces either, which is very important as my son has slipped, fallen and hit his head with other slippers before. Although it's quite expensive for the slippers, it's still a good value for me because I bought them on Amazon for around $20 and retailers here sell them for around $27. It's also worth protecting your child.
