This style has changed, and not for the better.

I have been ordering Minx boots for myself and my children for many years in all sizes from 2 to 7 for children. My eldest (12) is now a size 7 and the old Minx style fits him perfectly. He hardly puts the new cut on his foot, although it fits him perfectly in the same size and style, only in the old design. They made the boot narrower, and the upper of the boot is so uncomfortably tight where the toe meets the ankle that he won't wear it (and we could barely get it off his foot). Very…

I love these shoes.: my review

These shoes lasted all winter. My daughter loves them and these shoes keep her feet warm and dry even in the winter storm.

Pros
  • We don't see a lot of snow but they are great for cold weather and rain. More comfortable than rubber boots.

Tight at the ankle is the best in my rating

My child has skinny chicken legs and small feet but fairly large ankles (by comparison). These boots fit everywhere except the ankle. They were so tight at the ankle that we could hardly put them on. Otherwise they looked very good, I was disappointed.

Not at all what was expected

When we were looking for winter boots, we ended up at the Columbia girls' boots and our daughter (6 years) is super happy with them. Not only the feet stay warm & dry at minus temperatures (wet or snow) no, the boots are also feather light! We would buy the shoes again at any time.

Not good - my new rating

The quality is no longer good; had to go back. They were also made in a cumbersome way. We used to have two pairs and they were comfortable and great.

I have a women's version of this model and was happy so I bought my son this in black. I don't know if we have a defect but they weren't waterproof.

As expected

My daughter loves these boots! She can't wait to put them on in the snow. I bought a size up from her to accommodate my size and wear thicker socks during the season.

Advantages: light, warm. Cons: not waterproof, difficult to wash if a child gets them dirty, the zipper is most likely broken as it keeps opening.

Run a little...!! in my opinion

I love boots! Bought these for my 8 year old. She usually wears size 2.5 tennis shoes, so I gave her a size 3 in those shoes. They're a bit small, but they should only work this year. Be sure to increase the size!

Great snowshoe! good for me

My daughter loves these boots! They are easy to put on and take off, very comfortable and warm. She had a couple that she outgrew. I was happy to see that they are still in production and available in their size. She was so happy to be able to replace her old pair with an equally comfortable one!

Warm boots a little small

This boot kept my kids feet warm for days in temperatures of 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit. They look good and are easy to attach. The only downside I found is that they are difficult to wear with thick socks - I would recommend ordering 0.5-1 size larger than you would expect.

Light and thin outsole

Very light and thin. Not sure about the heat because we got it back. The stitching on the zips was wrong so one boot didn't zip all the way through. The bottom lining is very thin. If you're looking for a more durable boot, this isn't it. For something waterproof and lightweight, this is perfect.

My daughter had last year's lace-up version of these sneakers so this year I ordered 2 sizes up and they were too tight. Bring back the laces!

They run small but they are amazing boots if you get your size right.

Boots are small. My daughter usually wears a US size 1, I bought these 2 and they are quite comfortable. They are light and very comfortable. However, the zipper is difficult to close. We kept her for a season and hope she doesn't outgrow them too quickly. They are pretty expensive!

Very briefly: my rating

I have read several reviews where these shoes were recommended for wide feet, but unfortunately I found out after the purchase that it is not true at all, shoes are warm and water-repellent (but not waterproof), but for my wide feet, they simply put on the Sides and for high spans they are definitely nothing. I then took out the insole and it was much more comfortable to wear and still kept them warm (because the blood circulation in the feet was much better). But the quality is good and if…

Goldilock's Zone boots

Good for mild winters

Not as warm as I expected. It's my fault for choosing a light color for winter shoes. Had to clean them every week after my daughter's school break.
