Description of 🔊 ELAC Debut 2.0 DS10.2: High-Performance 200 Watt Powered Subwoofer in Black

A custom 10-inch long-throw driver provides the quality and quantity of bass that is fundamental to accuratelyreproducing today's demanding movie soundtracks and music. Bash amplifiers track the input signal and adjust the available supply voltage to a traditional class AB amplifier. This makes the amplifier incredibly efficient but also provides the on demand power needed for dynamic movies and music. A horizontal brace strengthens and stiffens the cabinet, helping minimize unwanted vibrations that discolor music or movie content. Low frequencies reproduced with precision, without overhang or distortion. The subwoofer will detect when an Audio signal is beingsent to the amplifier and willpower on. Also, to conserveenergy, the subwoofer willpower off after a long period of in activity.Frequency response: 35 to 150 Hz.

Excellent value for money

Really great subwoofer. Clean bass, clear tones and compliments are good for any environment. I am impressed with Elac products. I have a fairly large living room and it definitely fills the entire room and doesn't feel one sided. I use it in a stereo setup and buy another for a 2-2-2 setup.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • I have no bad feelings about it, everything is fine

Great sound in a compact package

This unit was my first attempt at adding a subwoofer to my slowly growing sound system. I have a living room that's a decent size but oddly shaped, now reminiscent of anything you'd hear in a movie theater. After some patience in finding the best place to place the unit, I got rich, full bass wherever people were sitting. This is an excellent device for those assembling a starter system. I've paired it with ELAC Uni-fi UB5 bookshelf speakers and couldn't ask for better sound.

Stay away, very cheaply made.

Terrible quality. The replacement stopped working after two weeks. The first had what I would call a hoarse sound, even at low volumes. After I got a second subwoofer it made popping noises when it turned off automatically (I've read this is normal) then I had to return it for a refund but I waited and now I'm stuck with a crack, 'Cause it's me outside the back window I advise you to spend more and get better quality. I may try a Klipsch subwoofer in the future, although I'll pay a little more.

UPDATE 1 star, appears and dies.

I needed a small subwoofer for my office computer that was connected through a Yamaha receiver. I have an extra pair of Ohm MicroWalsh shorts that I use but they don't have much bass, other than that they are amazing. The Elac fits the bill, it's small, not expensive but meets Ohm's bass requirements so I get a good sound overall. I would give 5 stars but they have a slight audible "pop" when they first appear in line. Good price I think very good value for money and the right size for my…

Poor quality subwoofers from GRANDMASTER

Andrew Jones, the GRANDMASTER of speakers, has made some great products. All speakers in my system are 7.1 from ELAC. I am very grateful to a guy like Andrew Jones who designed speakers at a cost of 100,000 to bring his experience and magic to the ELAC line. However, this subwoofer did not live up to my high expectations. In the end I settled on the klipsch 100SW which is much clearer and better at lower frequencies. THIS subwoofer sounds muffled and sounds like a strong wind is blowing on the…
