Weekend welders! for MIG welding machines

When it comes to most purchasing decisions, two things come down to it: reliability and price. With this Hobart welder you get both. If you are looking for a good welder for your home or garage then this is the one for you. The size and 110 connector make it so versatile and portable for all your project needs. I highly recommend this welder and it's an even better buy when Revain is offering it at a reduced price. A quick note, couriers are not always careful with your packages, but Revain's…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

The machine works exactly as you would expect.

This is a well made machine. I've worked with gadgets my entire adult life and I can spot junk. The welder is reliable and simple enough that I could watch the MIG Welding 101 video on YouTube (there are great teachers there!) and understand how "theoretical" welding is. Now I needed a US made welder. Hobart received good reviews. The assembly instructions and precautions couldn't be more helpful to a newbie. I did nothing but set it up as per the detailed guide. I mimicked the video jobs I saw

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Modern

Welder is solid, attention to detail and quality control isn't impressive

I did quite a bit of research and this model got great reviews in the $300-700 price range. My experience did not live up to expectations. The metal side panel came with a big dent, didn't seem to be packaged very well. Also, the wrong feeder was packaged with my unit so I had to manually plug in a new plug to get it working (which I assume voids the warranty). Judging by other comments, it looks like this happened to others as well). I had my own and was able to get it working, but spent a bit

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

Hobart Welder is great. Change from blue to white

I just bought a mechanical magazine and the welder that came with the magazine just didn't cut it. I started researching and came to the conclusion that this device has a lot in common with its more blue brother Miller. Although this Hobart is marketed as more consumer friendly, I felt pretty confident about buying it. I just love the quality of this item. I personally don't weld, so I can't say what welding is good for. But I know the sound of good welding, and this thing has it. The all-metal

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Functionality

Cool welder! - Welding machine

If you're in doubt between this and a cheaper option that seems to do about the same thing, let me just say the extra Benjamins are more than worth it. Welding training from a friend who is a professional welder and has been teaching welding most of her life and has a few that she uses on many different projects as well as for students to take their first steps. I won't even begin to say that I make anything remotely nice welds with this or any other machine (yet), but I will say that I don't…

Pros
  • Welding current range: 25-140 A; 20% duty cycle @ 90A, 19V
Cons
  • Expensive

Good welder after some issues fixed

I give five stars because I like it, despite two significant problems that I had and that I solved: 1. The device comes in a nice retail box as if it were You buy it at a retail store. It's printed with photos of the contents and has just enough cardboard to protect it from scratches and to hold the pieces together, but no padding other than a layer or two of single-ply corrugated cardboard. That same crate isn't enough to haul 65 pounds of metal across the country or county, and the first unit

Pros
  • Welds 24 sizes up to 1/4 in mild steel; Weldable materials: steel, stainless steel and aluminum
Cons
  • Without automatic

Amazing Value: MIG Welding Machine

You know, I open up a lot of foreign-made scrap. From simple brass fittings to complex electrical components such as televisions. You learn to recognize what is garbage and what is not. For example; If you go to Lowes, Home Depot, Menards or other similar stores and look at their plumbing, you will see a lot of junk. How do you get the "wrong" brass fitting? If it's brass then it should be good for certain applications right? No not like this. Even with things as simple as brass hardware, you…
