Jensen MCR 250 Personal Cassette Recorder Review

Bought for occasional use while working on projects in another part of the house. I knew beforehand that this wasn't going to be a top-notch audio player. But for my purposes it was ok. And for a month he served that purpose well. It met my realistic expectations, but after a month it stopped working. It doesn't matter if I use a plug or batteries, it's dead. I think it belongs in the "you get what you pay for" category.

I bought this to record and play on a cassette player. When playing, the audio was terrible and the cassette got stuck. I tried for a while to get it out without damaging the cassette but I had to cut open the cassette to get it out and there were small pieces inside that I couldn't remove and then I couldn't play another cassette It didn't work more, so I sent it back. The radio was ok, but I don't want a radio. I found out there is a recording app on my iPhone so I use it and I'm happy with…

Despite the lack of reviews, I decided to buy it because I wanted a reliable cassette player and it looked promising. So far the MCR-250 has lived up to my expectations. I haven't bought a cassette player and haven't played it in over ten years. I don't have any comparisons to the sound quality, but personally I think it sounds great. The overall feeling is strong. It doesn't have the cheap gimmick vibe of some of those retro music boomboxes that are gaining popularity. The radio worked well…
