🐰 Kids Spring Slinky Original Review

What can you go wrong with an original film? My 11 year old was thrilled to get this in his stocking. He can never keep his hands still, so this is a great way for him to keep them busy. I had to get one because every time I go to his room I play with him.

I bought this for a bird feeder to keep squirrels away. It does not work. I've read reviews of people raving about using this for bird feeders. The squirrels in my yard must be a lot smarter. It didn't take long for them to figure out how to get on the slinky. Don't waste money.

I saw a picture of a slinky on a bird feeder pole to scare away squirrels so I thought I'd give it a try: you can't climb the pole to eat all the seeds currently! They emptied my feeder EVERY DAY leaving nothing for the birds and bird seed is too expensive! No problem, the squirrels are defeated!

Many gardeners recommend trying this to keep squirrels away from birdhouses. It costs a lot less than deflectors! Mixed reviews but it worked for me! I think the key is to really spin it around the bar. Anyway, so far so good! Now I see the birds enjoying their food and then the squirrels just eating leftovers on the ground.

Generations have loved Slinks and I hoped my son would love them too. However, our stair must be too wide because the thin ones cannot come down our stair. Disappointing. Make sure you have narrow, steep steps so the slinky can descend properly. We tried everything we could think of to make tricky, well, tricky.

Although I love Slinky and have played with it on the stairs, it had a great purpose in life. Now these little furry cats can't climb a pole, but they bounce a little with the fun springiness of a slinky. It may not be for its intended purpose, but as an adult I needed to change what makes me happy about childhood favorites.
