This was a replacement for what was on my Jetta. The old one didn't read the temperature at all. The new one reads, but is far from accurate. I don't want to blame the product, so I'm giving it 5 stars. This could very well be a problem with my car as I still haven't figured out what's wrong with my air conditioning. I was told that this sensor would affect this if it didn't read the temperature or if the temperature was too low.
