Description of 🐠 NICREW Marine LED Fish Tank Light with 2-Channel Timer for Saltwater Aquariums and Coral Reef Tanks

Features 445nm and 460nm blue, 10,000K white, and RGB LEDs, a higher ratio of actinic blue spectrum LEDs balanced with full spectrum creates the ideal color combination for the saltwater environment. Comes with the dual-channel timer to adjust the lighting spectrum, simulate a gradual sunrise and fading sunset through the gradual increase and decrease of light intensity. One ClassicLED Marine light will support saltwater fish, live rock, soft coral, and LPS corals. For low light SPS corals, we suggest using two lights. Available in multiple sizes and includes extendable brackets on both ends to accommodate both rimless and framed aquariums length 18 - 24 inch. A glass or acrylic canopy is highly recommended to extend the life of the unit by preventing moisture from affecting it.

The tank is lit but the green light highlights the algae in the tank

The image is preparing to be turned off in the evening so it's mostly blue. Really lights up my 120 gallon aquarium, but lots of green light during the day that shows moss easily. I don't know if this applies to plants, but it definitely highlights your algia. Would like more blue during the day; only white and green light until it simulates a sunset.

  • Decent performance

Happy shopping, great light!

I needed new bulbs for my t5ho. They were the same price just to replace my bulbs as well as this new LED light so thought I'd give it a try. Glad you did! The timer is very good with the sunrise and sunset option, the instrument is thin and the brightness is exceptional. Even with new lamps, I have never seen my aquarium more beautiful. The corals seem to be responding well and the fish look bright and colorful. I definitely recommend it!

Reef Light with excellent quality for the money.

Reef lights are usually very expensive, I have Orbits lights which are twice as expensive. I've noticed my coral isn't getting enough light so I bought a light to supplement the Orbits light in my 38 gallon aquarium. Wow what is the difference, the color started to appear when the blue lights were used. Decided to buy a second one and replace my Orbit as it was 30" long and perfect for my 30" tank.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Good but not great

Best light, you won't regret it

Wow is all I can say. So affordable and BRIGHT. I light up my entire neighborhood at night with this beautiful blue glow. Extremely effective for growing zooxanthellae in my anemone. I promise you that with this light you will have the opportunity to practically revive the photosynthetic invertebrates you find in pet stores. This light quickly guides you through the stages of algae growth. I found the timer confusing to me and I always need help setting it up. I just can't find value for money.

  • Very good price

29G Saltwater. 30 inch lantern. Fits perfectly. The built-in timer works perfectly. I use this lantern in conjunction with a Finnex sea lantern so both stand on top of the aquarium and both give off light. Individual LEDs in Finnex appear brighter, overall NICREW Saltwater Aquarium Light, Marine LED emits more light. Both are excellent and pretty cheap for what you get. Unexpectedly, the skin coral was noticeably happier when I added nickel lights to replace the old CurrentUSA actinic tape that

Amazing price, amazing product.

I wanted to add LEDs to my RedSea Max 250 T5 canopy to add blue lighting so I can see my corals at night. I received this backlight after sunset, took it out of the box, mounted it on the edge of the aquarium and switched it on. The color took my breath away. I could see reds, greens, and oranges in my zoanthids and fungi that I didn't know existed. It's thin and light. You can't beat this price. I have 2 claims. The mounts move very easily and I'm afraid they'll fall into the tank if I…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • New competition has arrived

This thing is a bit tricky to program but has individual timing and intensity settings for the white and blue LED channels. I use blue at 10% for night and white at 100% for day. I would like to set the blue and white to 100% during the day and still have 10% for the blue channel at night, but the programming only allows for one intensity setting per channel. The sunset and sunrise function is good. My old lights came with a mechanical timer and sometimes turning them on or off would scare my…

Makes my LPS corals very happy.

This light is amazing, especially for the price. I bought this light in February and the only ones happier than me are my corals. I have been an aquarist for over 20 years and this is the best affordable LED light I have ever used. It works pretty cool, it works quietly, nothing buzzes, the controls are intuitive. It has a smooth zoom in and out function (F1), I guess that's what they call it. You can set the timer for both blue and white channels. I set it up so my blues runs 3 hours in the…

No ramp timer functions, lost time when unplugged

Well it works. It's easy to program, but you'll lose time immediately if you turn it off. I find this odd as it saves other memory functions. I suppose one way to make the timer more reliable would be to hook it up to an outlet timer that briefly cuts power at midnight every night to reset the clock to zero. one above a few others, but it's not a full ramp timer. It will gradually increase the intensity over 15 minutes for sunrise and sunset, however there are only 2 set points for each…
