Noctua NT Magic (ceramic) paste - my review about it

This is JUST INCREDIBLE! I went to my local computer store to buy some thermal paste and the specialist there said that all thermal pastes are basically the same. After applying the "paste" I bought from him, I didn't see any difference in temperature and decided to try Noctua's paste. My laptop gets very hot. Specifications: i7-4800HQ with RX M290X graphics card. The laptop ran at idle at about 65 C and at full load with a maximum fan temperature of 98-99 C. The graphics card ran at 97 C under

Pros
  • Cool pasta, what else can I say.
Cons
  • They are not here.

Noctua NT Cooling Favorite - all pros and cons about this

The Austrian company Noctua, as always, never ceases to amaze with the quality of its products. NT-H1 is the only thermal paste that this company produces. The paste has a high density, it is almost like plasticine. One tube lasts up to about 10 times. This thermal interface, in my opinion, is one of the best after Coollaboratory Liquid Pro, which is essentially liquid metal. The NT-H1 thermal paste is very hard to spread, but this cannot be called a minus, since this paste density is directly…

Pros
  • Low thermal resistance.
Cons
  • Heavy application.

Excellent pasta. This is my new way.

I am og . I've always used arctic silver 5, even though I knew there were much better pastes out there. If you're building a lot of systems, just grab this stuff. Best-in-class consistency is probably the best return. I think there's a reason Linus always has it. I particularly like the type of sealing. I am confident in holding this item and being able to use it long into the future even after opening. My other favorite feature is the very easy to follow directions which I honestly just…

Great product in the Thermal Paste & Gaskets category

I bought an NH-D15S and bought this one too. I didn't look at the contents of the box and found that the cooler contains a small tube of Noctua TIM. I haven't used any of that tube, however, but it's the same stuff, so I guess it still applies. !I've used Arctic Silver on every build I've done and it's always been a good product, easy to apply, lasts a decent time in vitro and gives consistently good temperatures, although I can't compare the performance. from the material for it. The best…

I regret taking that from Revane; no cap, stuck nozzle

Warning! My syringe didn't have a cap so the tip got stuck and the stuff inside hardened and dried out. I had to stick a thin screwdriver in it to make a hole. When first applied, the composition flowed through the rim of the nozzle rather than the end. Very dirty to clean my tools and hands. I then wrapped it with Gorilla Tape and in the end my CPU application was complete. A cap should be put on or dried should not be shipped.

  • Ideal for a small home

Get the best in fans and cooling easily

I've been using this thermal compound for years on CPUs, GPUs and other ICs. It always allows me to lower the temperature of the components I mount it on by a few degrees Celsius. There are quality thermal compounds that outperform NT-H1, but: 1) Their superior performance is only 1-2C; 2) they are significantly more expensive and 3) they are not easy to use. In the 20 years that I've been building computers, I've used many different pastes - diamond, carbon, ceramic and silver based. NT-H1 is…

It works as it should. Very good.

Easy application, comfortable applicator and good distribution. There is enough in the syringe, you will be able to use a lot if you mess up a few times. I haven't noticed any measurable difference in temperature between the times I've applied it now, so it doesn't seem to burn much, if at all. I've used it on both my Clevo Gamer laptop and a Dell Latitude laptop (with NVS 4200M graphics). Obviously this brought the temperature down (especially the GTX 1050ti in Clevo) because the old compound…

Good product. Highly recommended.

Much better than stock. After using this product, the temperature drops by 5 degrees during the stress test. Highly recommended.

The first replacement of thermal paste in my laptop

The product comes with a screw cap for easy reuse. This was my first experience of replacing thermal paste (especially on a laptop). I used rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs to remove what was left of my original formulation. The small tip makes it easier to apply. Can't say exactly how much it helped as my factory mix is pretty much gone. All I can say is that with no CPU load, my fans don't run at full speed anymore, so it seems to be doing its job.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
