Philips PD9000 Portable Certified Refurbished Review

So I plugged in the player, turned it on and put the disc in. He just said "read". I tried two other drives, original manufacturer drives, Region 1. "Read". I spoke to someone at Revain customer service and the only advice was to clean the drive. He had me clean the drive three times. Luckily my return period hasn't expired yet.

Update: 2 days after the first check, the plug for the 12V power supply was no longer connected. It accidentally failed within 60 seconds of being plugged in. The screen is average. The disc mechanism is loud, but not audible on the go. The main criticism is the missing battery. After reading the reviews I found that some have a battery and some don't. Should have researched more before buying.

Purchased in April 2019 and no longer works. This is the fifth portable DVD player I've bought and they all died before the end of the year. Today's products are not durable. I babysit my products and only one person uses them. I am so disgusted with 21st century products. Cheaply made and as an elderly disabled person on a fixed income I can't afford to switch products every 10 months. So it looks like I'll forgo it in the future.
