It's just another coin that doesn't offer anything new or special to the world of cryptocurrency. I guess the idea is somewhat novel, but it doesn't have any edge over anything that already exists. The course will be offered as 4-credit special topics course, which would be an upper-division elective requirement that is open to both students of electrical and computer engineering and computer science. It will cover topics including an overview of blockchain-related concepts, Ethereum, decentralized apps (dApps), crypto tokens, smart contracts, hash functions, and more.
Pros
- The only thing good about this project is that it's pretty transparent. It's just a mineable token on the ethereum network. Ability to run a full client and lite client Functions as both a web and paper wallet Supports both transparent and private transactions Secure messaging Ability to run a Full Node
Cons
- There is basically no reason for this to exist. To start, the ethereum token itself is a mineable token, but there are also entire blockchains which themselves offer this. In the near future, it will support additional features including managing Horizen Secure Nodes and Super Nodes, a multi-currency wallet, human-readable addresses, advanced wallet features, and user-friendly MultiSig support.
