There is currently a digital advertising market that has grown exponentially in recent years, and from which many companies are benefiting worldwide. But the digital advertising industry still has some downsides to fix. The Clear coin project was created in 2018 and aimed to create a powerful advertising network based on the Blockchain, safe and reliable in which advertisers and users would be well rewarded. This platform would offer several products: XCRL coin, the utility token to be used within the platform, Clearcoin extension, which would be installed in several browsers to offer paid advertising to users while they browse the web, and there was also the possibility of creating Smart contracts to improve the advertising campaigns of companies and that advertisers could obtain better benefits by being able to reach a larger audience.
The company raised in its ICO an amount of 3 million dollars from diversionists since it promised to create a powerful advertising network and they carried out a good marketing campaign. Through this campaign, they obtained alliances with beewax, an online advertising platform that relied on the project.
After their ICO phase, as is common in most of these projects, their price dropped by 84%, because they were not able to fulfill the promises they offered, and the advertisers felt cheated, since they were not making the profits what they expect.
In less than a year after its launch, the project was abandoned, and today there is no movement in any market of its XCRL token and its CEO was reported to the SEC in the United States for fraudulent actions in the ICO of this project.
