Ready Player One is Decentraland
Have you seen the movie Ready Player One?, then I welcome you to Decentraland, a virtual reality platform created on Ethereum Blockchain where we can experiment, create and even monetize our content that we create, being able to acquire plots and have control over all content what's wrong with it. It is a decentralized virtual reality world, a platform where you will own the content you create. If you are a lover of video games like Second Life, GTA, Sims or Minecraft (with other different features of course) this will be an ideal platform for you and you will have many opportunities to earn money due to everything that Decentraland offers.
How does it work?
This project works based on the philosophy of times.
One thing we must know is that Decentraland is not bound by any central authority or entity.
What is MANA and LAND?
You will receive rewards incentivized by the developers with the MANA token and you will be able to buy LAND plots (non-fungible token) that you will have as property. LAND would be the fabric where you create your experiences.

In my opinion, it is a platform that could have a resounding success in the future if it is given the importance it deserves and many users (especially video game players) could take full advantage of it and impose it worldwide. Decentraland is the first VR platform that will allow us to own our own lands using blockchain technology, we will not only start from a web browser but we will obviously be able to use a VR device. The primary objective is that we can carry out economic activities in this virtual world.

- The concept is great and has a lot of incentives to attract lots of people from the gaming community.
Cons
- Due to not having a control as such, trolls would ruin the game and eventually damage the social platform.
- Users run the risk of losing everything if the company goes out of business entirely or decides to change the rules.
- It is still in development and I think it will take a long time to look like the virtual reality already seen in the Ready Player One movie.
