Dogecoin is a great crypto. Even though others might disagree, i think i like the fairly low price. This way, to use things like dogetipbot, you don’t need to send decimal amounts of coins, and rather thousands of full coins instead. Obviously the price could be a bit higher, which would be quite good for people that are holding the coin.
I’d say it’s a fairly normal cryptocurrency. It doesn’t have a lot of the functionality, like ethereum with it’s smart contracts, but transactions are fast and secure, so that’s really all you need. The price is also fairly stable, so that’s good too.
The best part of the coin though, is the community. The users of dogecoin are all around just great and friendly, and everyone is generally lighthearted and generous. The community also regularly organizes charity fundraisers, which is great!

Sending dozens of coins worth less than pennies is an incredibly useful thing. If you want a charitable fund with blockchain transparent accountability, think how easy it would be to get small donations from lots of people. Think of the educational possibilities of dogecoin rewards for academic

chievements. Even more basic, the math and economics of setting up paper wallets and accumulating coins that can be used to buy things on the internet. 1000 doge cost .33usd. It might not be a great investment but I believe this coin will fill a niche and be around awhile. 
, the dev was not directly affiliated with Dogecoin, he ran a site called Moolah that was actively trading BTC/DOGE – and then he shut down the site claiming that he’d been hacked. Please read the news carefully before trying to smear the coin itself!
