In recent years, there has been a boom in platforms seeking to reward their users with cryptocurrencies, especially content creators, for their contribution to the ecosystem. An example of this type of platform is HIve, which in addition to being a social network, which rewards its users for the amount of positive votes their publications receive, also has its own blockchain, and associated cryptocurrency, all in a decentralized environment of Open source that seeks to bring the potential of web 3.0 in a massive way to the whole world and in which there is no regulatory entity that controls the ecosystem. The project was born out of a controversy in March 2020, when justin sun, tron's CEO, acquired steemit, a similar platform that rewarded content creators, but the community had certain disagreements and a hard fork occurred, giving rise to HIVE. This new platform would have as a priority to develop web 3.0 giving users a more efficient environment to deploy dapps and enjoy ultra-fast transactions, since the hive blockchain can process transactions in less than 3 seconds. One of the characteristics that caught my attention about this project and that bears a lot of resemblance to revain, is that all the publications of the users remain on the blockchain and are immutable, something that undoubtedly speaks very well of the level of descentntalization that it possesses. this project. In fact there are many decentralized applications and projects created under the steem blockchain, which at the time of the fork, were switched to the hive blockchain, such as: splinterlands, a very famous trading card game, 3speak, a sharing platform videos a bit similar to youtube and peakd, a platform where users are also rewarded for uploading content.
Hive is a great example of decentralization in the industry today, since since its creation, its main vision is that the audience is the one that takes control of the project, without allowing any regulatory entity to exist as in the case of steemit.
