It's brilliant all around. This is the future's token. He had a fantastic vision of the future and the youth. ORIENT is an international research initiative focusing on the application of orientation to care robots in elderly welfare services. Care robots are still in their early stages of development. Orientation is described as an introduction to the use of technology and the acquisition of various skills for efficient application in the spirit of co-creation. For orientation to robot usage, new methodologies and models will be created. The needs of elderly clients and their family take precedence, but orientation is required on many other levels as well.
ORIENT looks at how robots should be introduced, how to prepare for their usage, and what type of assistance and information different stakeholders (older consumers, family, careers, service organizations, and other stakeholders) want – and how these might be met. By identifying and describing best practices for orientation, ORIENT hopes to ease the co-creation of care robot technology and service breakthroughs. The two-year project began on April 1, 2018, and will terminate on March 31, 2020.
