I'm a craftsman so I used to work with air dried clay. This is a very strange sound. It is oily at first and expands slightly in shape. It can also tear when dry. This keeps your hands very dry. To be honest you can get the same result with Crayola Model Magic Clay for a lot less and it doesn't leave your hands feeling bad.

It turned out great for me. My advice for those who are afraid to use it: place the pouch under your thigh or place it on a heating pad to warm it up before you start kneading. The warmer it is, the easier it is to print. Keep this in mind when hanging the print so that the child's arms/feet are low enough for the ribbon hole. I kind of forgot that part, so my tape is very close to the handprint.

I bought this for my little one as the hospital doesn't do hand and footprints and we wanted to show him one when he is older. It's easy to use. But one issue we got is that it says to use a mug to smooth the surface but unfortunately the clay/product isn't good for all hearts so it took some time to actually use it with a suitable shot glass. I did not like this kit at all. I have used 2 other brands for previous baby casts and this one was terrible compared to them. The clay was very dense and wet, heavy, and taking more effort than necessary to get a smooth surface. The imprints seemed to recover as the clay started to dry, so they weren't as deep as they were when they started. Perhaps this is why the ink actually "sees" the print after it dries? They are fairly easy to make, although getting a newborn cast is quite difficult. Some of the tricky stuff is shaping and getting the print before it dries. We had to use a brush to apply pressure and enhance the prints because they were difficult to see. When they dried, there were many cracks all over.
