The WX05 Wax Blanket should never be used on a plastic or poly bucket as the high temperatures generated from the pail heater will melt the plastic bucket. Glycerin can scorch and become unusable if not supervised; Wax can become dangerous if heated beyond a safe point. Safe and efficient means of heating wax or glycerin without risk of reaching the flash point. Can be used with an external digital thermostat which allows the user to regulate the pail heaters temperature from ambient up to the max temp of 200 ยฐf. The insulated Wax & Glycerin Heating Blanket will have a thermostat set to maintain a blanket temperature of 200 oF / 93.3 oC and a product temperature of 185 ยฐF / 85 ยฐC (ยฑ 10 oF / 5 oC).

A reliable heat solution for industrial use!

Ideal for thinning icy, viscous paint.

While this particular electric blanket has a preset 200 degree thermostat making it ideal for heating buckets of wax and soap, I have actually used it to warm the buckets of paint which we are now taking straight outside , while we remodel. I don't leave the blanket on long enough to heat the paint to 200, but leave the heater on it just long enough to dilute the paint to a usable state. It's cold outside now, and when we bring buckets of paint, it's so thick that it takes a few hours to useโ€ฆ

200 degrees allows use of high odor concentration wax - fits 5 gallon metal pails

Ideal for 5 gallon metal pails. It heats up to 200 degrees, which is enough for paraffin and wax, which provide a high concentration of fragrance. I work primarily with paraffin and it melts great and has good fluidity at 200. It doesn't get hot enough to ever have any concerns about wax decomposition or reaching flash point.
