If you can put this thing together and get rid of the squeaks, this is just one great swing! Our daughter usually doesn't like being humiliated. If we put her on a high chair, bouncer, or on a blanket, she'll usually get upset within 10 minutes. But after putting her in that swing, she was more than satisfied for more than 30 minutes with no sign of excitement. So thumbs up for that! The problem I found is that the instructions are terrible. The diagrams do little to help you understand what you need to do, and the written instructions don't reference part numbers so you're not sure which part should be where. Luckily the build is pretty easy so I just dropped the instructions and just tried and failed all the way. Finally, the motor itself creaks a little. This is especially bad when he first tries to swing the swing, but he still squeaks even when the swing is in motion. Luckily, this is a fairly low-frequency creaking, so the sound can quickly fade into the background when you're not hearing it. Music and sounds are ok, nothing special. The speaker sounds pretty muffled, but I wasn't expecting a quality Bose speaker in a baby swing. The volume can be quite low and high, which is nice. It seems like you can't just turn on the music without turning on the swing, which is a bit sad. It would be nice to just be able to play music without swing, but that's more of a personal preference than anything. All in all this is a great swing and I would highly recommend it if you want a swing with solid construction and mains power.
