Fit my measured 4 " x 4 ".
Fit my measured 4" x 4" treated wood post perfectly. Rather than nail/screw them in I used a bead of caulk around the top edge. The plastic dome snapped on nicely.I give it a 4 star as it is rather light weight in construction --- will probably need replacing some time down the road.

- I didn't notice that the top cap doesn't match the base. I installed them but wish I had noticed that.
