After intermittent connectivity issues with the Xfinity DVR box, I have decided to replace the patch cable to the wall jack with a high quality, high bandwidth gold plated cable. This significantly reduced the problems, so it was decided to replace the local HD port's chrome-plated cable connector built into the lamellar socket with this gold-plated version. It was a simple exchange, took a few minutes. The design of these connectors also appears to consist of higher quality internal components. After the update, there were no error messages requiring a reboot and the dash cam is much more responsive.
